Scarecrow Display and Contest

Information and Rules
Contest is open to any person, family, organization or business. Please be aware that pictures of your scarecrow and use of your name may be used in newspapers stories and other publicity generated by this event.
Scarecrows must be set up at Spring Mountain on October 1, 2009 from 12 pm to 5 pm. Come to the main lodge to check in. You will receive a number to attach to your scarecrow for judging purposes. Call 610-287-7900 ext. 100 to make otherarrangements if this doesn’t work for you.
Scarecrows must be constructed to withstand the wind and weather. Please make sure your Scarecrow is on a stake so that he can stand by him/herself on the mountain. If Scarecrow is sitting, pleasemake sure he/she is secure.Please check on your scarecrow periodically to make sure he/she is still in good shape during the display period.
Please make sure Scarecrows are in good taste and avoid controversial subjects. We reserve the right to refuse display of inappropriate scarecrows.
Business entries may advertise their business on their scarecrow. Please no handouts.
Spring Mountain cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to entries.
One entry per person, family, business or organization.
Scarecrows should be handmade and not incorporate the use of store bought masks.
Please pick up your scarecrow and/or it’s belongings on November 1 from 12 pm to5 pm (Those not picked up will become compost!)
Grand Prize is bragging rights and a Snow Tubing party for 10 people at Spring Mountain Ski Area this winter! Includes 10 tubing tickets, pizzas and sodas! Valued at over $300.00!
