Looking for a fun way to get outside and try something new this winter? Ice skating lessons at Spring Mountain Adventures give children, teens, and adults an opportunity to learn, practice, and enjoy time on the ice. With a full-sized outdoor skating rink, Spring Mountain is a great setting to turn those first steps into a new winter tradition.
A Starting Point for Every Beginner
Whether your child has never worn skates or you’re ready to give skating a try yourself, choosing the right lesson is an important first step. Spring Mountain offers several programs based on age and experience:
Ice Mice: An introduction to skating for beginners ages 3 and 4.
Intro to Skate: A starting point for children ages 5–7 who haven’t taken skating lessons.
Beginner Ice: Lessons for new skaters ages 8–12.
Advanced Beginner Ice: A next step for beginners who have already taken a few lessons.
Teen/Adult Beginners: A program for skaters ages 13 and older, from beginners through advanced beginners.
These options make it easier to find a class that matches where you are today, whether you’re starting from scratch or building on previous lessons.
Learn, Practice, and Keep Going
Getting comfortable on skates takes time. Spring Mountain’s progressive skating programs include a 30-minute lesson and 30 minutes of independent practice each week, giving students time to work on what they’ve learned. Skate rentals are included, along with two public skating passes for additional visits during the season. It’s an opportunity to make skating a regular part of your winter routine.
Prefer Private Instruction?
Private skating lessons are available for guests ages 3 and older at any ability level. Each lesson includes 30 minutes of instruction, rental skates, and an additional 30 minutes of practice time. Private instruction is also an option for anyone who would like to try a lesson before committing to a full program.
Helmets are required for all skating lessons. For private lessons, reserve online at least 72 hours in advance and plan to arrive about 20 minutes early if you’ll be renting skates.
Make This Winter Your Time to Skate
There’s something rewarding about trying a new activity and feeling a little more comfortable each time you return. Whether you’re introducing your child to the ice or learning alongside friends and family, start your skating experience at Spring Mountain.
