SKI BEES 2021!
This program is for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. Children will play games in the snow, ride on the Magic Carpet (weather permitting) and learn how to put skis and ski boots on. A basic lesson that will help them to learn balance and begin to be comfortable on the snow is included.
NOTE: Most of the children in this group will not have skied before. If your child has been skiing in the Alps (We’ve had that!), this is not the class for them…they should instead get private lessons.)
Classes are on Wednesdays mornings or afternoons. SIGN UP BEFORE THE END OF JULY TO GET LAST YEAR’S PRICING! The cost is $90.00 per 4 Week Session and includes lift tickets, lessons and rentals (including helmets). PRICING WILL GO UP AUGUST 1ST.

Week Two: We will teach about the ski and how the boot fits into and out of the bindings. We will then have them practice gliding with one ski on, alternating feet. The Children will put both skis on and practice gliding skills.
Week Three: We will work on gliding with two skis and progressing into a wedge. The children will work on a gliding wedge to a complete stop.
Week Four: We will continue to work on a gliding wedge to a complete stop. We will progress into making turns to a complete stop.
During weeks three and four the children will use the magic carpet.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR 2020-21 LESSON PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS
Updated July 10, 2020
Re: Covid-19 Plan of Action
We all hope that Covid 19 will be of little or no issue by the time our lesson programs begin in January. However, we realistically have to assume that we will most likely find ourselves still in the “Social Distancing” mode. We are in the planning stages of new policies to allow for distancing & keeping crowds to a minimum. Please check back as we get closer to the Winter for more specific plans.
If we must close during the 2020-21 season due to the virus & we are unable to hold the Lesson Program in it’s entirety, you will be issued credit for the 2021/22 season or refunded in full. If we have to close due to the virus & we are unable to complete the lesson program, you will be issued credit or refunded a pro rated amount based on what was missed.
If we must maintain social distancing, the following would be a foreseeable scenario:
The traffic in the lodge would be kept to a minimum. We are currently looking into online waivers as well as other ways to minimize the numbers of people in the lodge before lessons go out. For instance, we may put in place a program to have lesson participants schedule a time to come in prior to the start of the program to fit equipment. We will find alternatives to having large crowds outside behind the lodge before start of each lesson. The total number of guests on the mountain may also be limited and there may have to be a cut off each day as to the total tickets sold. There would always be enough space reserved for our lesson program participants during their lesson time.
We sincerely hope that these extra precautions never have to be implemented, but if they do, we will be ready.
Please call or email if you have any questions.
